Funny Stuff!

Obviously, chocolate fountain that was at Olivia b-day several weeks ago and at Morgan's b-day this past Sunday made quite an impression on Margaret. This morning, as she was groggily waking up, she explained that she was dreaming and dreamt she
"was at a chocolate factory. I was covered in chocolate and someone took a picture of me and put it on the chocolate fountain." She promptly put her head back down and I really thought she had fallen back to sleep. When she heard me in the room again, she said, "When it gets cold and icy, we can get my roller skates and we can skate at Big Water. You know it will be all icy." I told her that I thought she was sleeping and she announced that she WAS NOT and that she was just thinking about lots of neat ideas! Later she relayed this "neat idea" to Jonathan and she changed the "roller skates" to "ice skates." If it EVER gets cold enough for Big Water to freeze over we will SURELY take a picture of her skating on the ice--HA!

A glimpse into the future....

Last week, while kicking off the tax free weekend, Margaret and I went for her to get fitted for her flower girl dress. Margaret is very excited about being a flower girl with Olivia in my cousin Chris' wedding in October. We were very excited that the actual dress (in white) was at the store. Margaret tried it on and felt like a princess as she twirled around on the platform in front of the big mirrors. She did several poses saying, "This is what Cinderella would do!" Not only did Margaret do a great job at the Bridal shop, but she tried on a zillion other outfits, dresses.... and was very patient as be shopped for most of the day! My little girl is growing up and appears to like shopping!! YEAH!!!!

Big Water

Our last vacation of the summer was a relaxing few days in a little cabin at Big Water. Melissa and Olivia joined us and we had a few other visitors in and out. The girls love playing in the water, picnicing on the porch, and playing in the loft of the cabin.
I can't wait to add some of Melissa's pics.....she took MANY more than I did and I am I am sure they are better!!

Margaret's Broken Heart

When Jonathan was putting Margaret to bed last night she announced out of no where.....
"John Christian is not my boyfriend anymore."
Jonathan: "Why?"
Marg: "Because he lives all the way in California."
Jonathan: "He will be back before you know it."
Marg (in a reportedly self defeated sort of tone): "He won't be back until I'm 8! He was practically my husband!"
Then a few minutes later......
"You what I am going to be when I grow up? "
Jonathan: "What?"
Marg: "A firefighter"
Jonathan: "Why?"
Marg: "So I can fight the fires in California."

Jonathan said she went to sleep shortly after that. How can I mend her little broken heart? Who in the world would have thought she would miss JC so much? They really did not hang out very often....I guess some of this is her drama, but it sure does come up often! FYI--I think JC will be back before Margaret is 8, right Rebecca?

Creating Fairy Wonderland

Horsing Around--Summer 2008

Several times this summer we have gone out to Doodle Hill Farm to see Cousin Anne ride her true love, Bucky. Bucky is a HUGE horse and Margaret has lots of fun feeding him carrots. We also were very excited to visit Cousin David and his horses about a week ago. They were very friendly and nosed us a lot!

A Letter to Mr. Rogers

Today during "rest" time, Margaret was saw that Mr. Rogers has an address and she REALLY wanted to send him a letter. She dictated this to me:

Dear Mr. Rogers,
I sometimes watch you on TV. I love make believe land. I want to do everything with you but I can't but I can't because I don't live with you. I love you and you want me to be your neighbor. I got lots of plants and I got three fish and you have six. I go to dance class. You got cooler stuff than I do. Please visit me at St. Matthews. I know it is so long, how will you get here? Please write me back too!
Your Friend,
Margaret

Maybe he will write her back?? For the grown-ups out there....is Mr. Rogers actually still alive? (I will obviously delete this question shortly....)
