Blackberry Picking....

Margaret and I were delighted to see the THOUSANDS of blackberries at Grandaddy's house. We were in quite snakey territory so Margaret kept singing "Snake, snake stay away" songs and screaming intermittently. We got 3/4 of a large bucket full of sweet, juicy blackberries! Margaret thrilled to have plenty to share with her friend Megan....we had a play date with her on the Thursday after we picked!

Watching Anne and Bucky

A few weeks ago we went to watch Cousin Anne ride her BIG friend Bucky. Margaret was amazed at Anne and Bucky and has been playing with her little horse figures much more lately. All of her figures are somehow related to Bucky (his sister, his mama, his brother.....). It is really funny to hear her play! We can't wait to go and see Anne and Bucky again soon!

Swimming Lessons with Blakley

"Looking for a Star" --recital night!

Margaret and Blakley were both very excited about dancing on the big night. They both did a really great job. I wondered if Margaret would dance.....she surprised me and sang and danced liek a pro! I did not take many pictures because I was busy watching (very proudly) how very well my sweet baby actually performed! I have a DVD of the performance if anyone is interested in seeing it!

BUSY Beginning of May--Dress Rehearsal

The first week of May was a REALLY busy one for us!! We started had dance practice on Monday and started swimming lessons. Tuesday we had a break. Wednesday we had swimming again. Thursday was dress rehearsal for Margaret's ballet recital and then Friday was the big night! Despite some TERRIBLE behavior while trying to get a nap (which she did eventually take) Margaret did a very nice job for her dress rehearsal. She sat still for her make-up and bun in her hair and was very proud to be a pretty little ballerina! This was Margaret's first experience with hair spray...."it tickles!" Smiling just before we left for the rehearsal

Happy Birthday to My Sweet Baby Girl!

As stated in a previous post, Margaret did not feel well on her true birthday. She missed school and was up much of the night before. Fever is NO fun!! Before I left for school, we sang to Margaret and she ate one of the cupcakes she was planning to take to school. I can't believe my baby is 4!
